3810 – Fire Protection

To Whom It May Concern:  

As Design and Management Contractor for the £190m Bishops Square development in the City of London, we appointed Industrial Fire Protection Limited as the Specialist Contractor for the design, supply and installation of thermal insulation and steelwork fire protection in the lower ground and basement areas.  

The appointment was based upon their competitiveness, recent track record on other Sir Robert McAlpine projects including 280 Bishopgate and 30 Gresham Street, professional association memberships and references. Since award the scope of works has been extended considerably to incorporate additional fire protection requirements, fire stopping and epoxy pre-cast column casings, each of these being executed in a proactive and competent manner.  

On this project, the Employer reinforced the quality standards expected of the Specialist Contractor by appointing a Specialist Consultant to monitor quality and compliance with manufacturers recommendations and the like. We can confirm that Industrial Fire Protection Limited have risen to the challenge, continue to execute sub-contract works in accordance with the standards expected, and promptly address any issues raised by the compliance team both technically or physically.  

Based on their performance to date, we would not hesitate to consider Industrial Fire Protection Limited in the future.
